At multigigabit speeds, the Ethernet frame remains unchanged. The engineering workflow changes around it: physical access, connectors, active-tap visibility, logging capacity, time synchronization and protected-link proof.

The three products that support physical access, compact Automotive Ethernet integration and trusted observation or capture data.
Three products for the MultiGigabit validation workflow

MediaConverter multigigabit
Establish a direct point-to-point conversion between Automotive ECUs using the 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1 multigigabit standard and a SFP+ module compatible with multigigabit ethernet interfaces
Speed and master/slave role configuration
Link status, SQI, CRC and PHY diagnostics
TC10 wake/sleep and IEEE test modes
DIP, MQS GPIO, serial console and PC GUI
TE-1415 Broadcom and TE-1416 Infineon variants
TE-1416: packet generator, License available- MACsec at line speed

SFP+ Module multigigabit
The TE-1445 converts between 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet and a 10 Gbit/s host electrical interface compliant with SFF-8431 in suitable SFP+ hardware.
2.5 / 5 / 10GBASE-T1 support
Master/slave and speed configuration
Four DIP switches for start-up defaults
MACsec, MKA available at line speed
Output by TC10
Link status, SQI, CRC, and PHY diagnostics
DIP-switch override and PHY access through a compatible host

Capture Module multigigabit
An active tap for one point-to-point 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1 connection. It forwards live traffic between both endpoints, creates a captured copy, applies a hardware timestamp and sends logging output to a logger or PC.
Hardware timestamping with nanosecond resolution
TECMP and ASAM CMP encapsulation
gPTP/802.1AS-2011 AVnu profile or PTPv2 subset
Start-up buffer, packetisation and output traffic shaping
Basic and advanced filtering
Traffic injection and cascading
Observe the difference frame by frame in the upcoming free webinar
The demonstration in the webinar sends one user-defined payload through an regular path and a protected path. The payload is readable on the open path. On the protected path, MKA negotiation frames are visible and the equivalent traffic is MACsec-protected
The unprotected path passes through the MediaConverter multigigabit
The protected path uses the supporting Enhanced Ethernet Switch and two SFP+ modules
The Capture Module multigigabit logs the protected link
The two traffic states are compared in separate Wireshark views
