A strong architectural foundation reduces integration risks and accelerates every downstream phase — from prototyping to validation. Our System Engineering approach integrates naturally with prototyping, toolchain development, and HIL environments.

The Modern IN-VECHILE NETWORK Validation Playbook (2026)
The Enhanced Ethernet Switch is designed to manage, control, and analyze Automotive Ethernet traffic in complex test and validation environments. With advanced capabilities such as time synchronization, configurable filtering, VLAN support, port mirroring, routing, MACsec, and flexible port configuration, it enables engineers to build secure, scalable, and reproducible test setups for debugging, traffic analysis, and network validation.
No. The MACsec license is available exclusively for Technica Enhanced Ethernet Switches. Since the primary purpose of the Capture Module is passive traffic monitoring and recording, MACsec functionality is not integrated into the device itself. However, MACsec-protected traffic can be analyzed by cascading the Capture Module with an Enhanced Ethernet Switch, which can decrypt the traffic before forwarding it for capture and analysis.
Yes. By routing traffic through the switch, selected packets can be mirrored to a connected PC for modification. The modified packets can then be re-injected into the communication path, enabling advanced MACsec validation scenarios such as error injection, packet manipulation, and robustness testing.
Yes. When combined with Technica's Network Interfacer, the Enhanced Ethernet Switch can be used to support 10BASE-T1S MACsec testing and validation scenarios.
The Enhanced Ethernet Switch offers extensive traffic management and filtering capabilities, including: Support for up to 8 QoS classes per port, VLAN tagging, including Single VLAN and Q-in-Q (Double VLAN), Port mirroring for monitoring and analysis, Traffic shaping and ingress rate limiting, TCAM-based deep packet inspection and filtering rules. These features provide precise control over network traffic, making it easy to build sophisticated validation and test topologies.
The Advanced Feature Package unlocks additional functionalities, including: Multiple PTP partitions, PTPv2-to-gPTP bridging, Bandwidth reservation and Ingress rate limiting. The Core feature package supports a single PTP partition. License activation can be performed by the customer via the User Interface, eliminating the need to return the device.
