Switch-Based Universal EMC Device
The Universal EMC Device is a revolutionary testing equipment which can perform data logging and traffic generation under high electromagnetic radiations and without influencing your measurements.
Technica Engineering’s launches a switch-based solution for EMC conditions. Universal EMC Device is an ideal candidate for data generation, forwarding, logging and manipulation; to perform under high electromagnetic radiations. It provides accurate measurements, through its bidirectional conversion between interfaces of SFP and mainstream automotive standard buses: LIN, CAN/CAN-FD, FlexRay and automotive Ethernet 100BASE-T1. Together with our Media Gateway, the Universal EMC Device is an excellent testing solution within our Switch-based group of products.
The device can act as a Layer 2 switch (OSI Model from International Standards Organization). It features several functions of the Data Link Layer. Through the integrated website, Universal EMC Device is easy to configure. Its webserver for an easy configuration includes a master/slave setting for 100BASE-T1, Port mirroring, single VLAN (802.1q) and double VLAN (802.1q-in-q) tagging, port status display, and wake up lines. The device can import and exporting configuration files.
The Universal EMC Device features 4x ports of BroadR-Reach (100Mbit/s Fullduplex on a single unshielded twisted pair), 2x ports of Gigabit Ethernet SFP module socket, and 1 port of Fast Ethernet OBD, which makes it an easy-to-manage, quick and efficient solution for multipurpose in-vehicle communication testing. By featuring communication buses like LIN, CAN/CAN-FD, and FlexRay, the device is capable to interact with a vast range of applications. The user-friendly integrated website can be used to configure the lines and buses.
Therefore, Technica Engineering’s Universal EMC Device is an ideal tool for testing the performance of newly developed devices under tough environmental conditions. With only one Fiber optic Ethernet connection, you will have access to all the automotive buses. The device will automatically take care of the conversion between Gigabit Ethernet and the automotive standard buses, bidirectionally.
